How 7soft builds and runs production software
The delivery pipeline, end to end
7soft delivers in four stages. Discovery maps your process, data and systems in up to one week. Design produces validated key flows and screens in one to two weeks. Build ships a working version every two weeks. Launch deploys to production, trains your team and stays on for support. Scope is approved before code.
Discovery (≤1 week)
Your process, data and existing systems, mapped before the first line of code.
Design (1–2 weeks)
Key flows and screens, validated with you, which fix the scope.
Build (2-week iterations)
A working, testable version at the end of every iteration.
Launch & support
Deployment to production, training and support after go-live.
The technology stack
We choose technology to fit the client need, not the other way round: any language and any database, relational or not, that solves the problem. Integrations use APIs, including SmartBill and Saga for Romanian invoicing and accounting. We operate the infrastructure: the client does not deal with servers or hosting, and we handle migrations and scale resources up or down.
Application layer
Language and framework are chosen to fit the project.
Data layer
Relational or non-relational databases, as needed.
Infrastructure
Operated by us: migrations, scaling resources up and down, no server to worry about for the client.
Integrations
APIs, including SmartBill and Saga for Romanian invoicing and accounting.
Ownership and exit
For custom projects, the source code lives on 7soft servers and you get administrator access to your project; you decide whether to download it. For services and SaaS products we operate, the code stays with 7soft, which may reuse it. The exception is team extension: when we join an existing team, we work in your repository. If a client of such a product wants the code, we offer it for sale.
Custom projects
Administrator access to your project, with the option to download the code.
Services and SaaS
The code stays with 7soft. You get the service, operated by us.
Code for sale
If you want the code of a SaaS, we prepare a quote for buying it.
Security and data protection
Access is role-based, so each user sees only the data they are authorised to see. Data is encrypted, and systems are built to meet GDPR for personal and health data. Logging is audit-friendly: actions are recorded so access control can be explained, not guessed — a requirement that matters for clinics and larger companies.
Role-based access
Each user sees only the data intended for them.
Encryption and GDPR
Systems built for personal and health data under GDPR.
Audit-friendly logging
Actions are recorded so access control is explainable.
Reliability and observability
We operate the infrastructure: we handle migrations and scale resources up or down with demand, so you never deal with servers. Monitoring and alerts are included from launch, and we tell you when there is a traffic spike or costs exceed the budget. Incident response is defined per project, and integrations use retries and idempotency so a temporary outage does not corrupt data.
Managed scaling
We scale resources up and down; you do not administer servers.
Monitoring and alerts
Included from launch; we tell you about traffic spikes or costs over budget.
Incident response
Defined per project, with retries and idempotency in integrations.
Quality gates
Every change passes three gates: type checks and automated tests must pass, code is reviewed before merge, and behaviour is documented. This keeps the codebase maintainable by any other team, which lets us hand the code over or reuse it safely.
Types & tests
Type checks and automated tests must pass before merge.
Code review
No change reaches production without review.
Documentation
Behaviour is documented, not just the code written.
Frequently asked questions
The questions we are asked most about the 7soft process concern cost, time to a first version, who owns the code and how we work with an existing team. The answers below are the same ones we give in a direct conversation, without marketing phrasing.
What does custom software cost?
- A first working version starts at around €15,000 (about 75,000 RON at the reference rate). Complex platforms with integrations and multiple roles run from €30,000 to €120,000, roughly 150,000 to 600,000 RON. Prices on the site are indicative and are not a firm offer.
How long until the first version?
- Two to four months for an MVP built in two-week iterations, and nine to eighteen months for a complex platform.
Who owns the source code?
- Code ownership is set in the contract. By default, for custom projects the code lives on 7soft servers and you get administrator access to your project; you decide whether to download it. For services and SaaS products we operate, the code stays with 7soft, and if you want it we quote a price. When we join an existing team, we work in your repository.
How does 7soft work with an existing team?
- 7soft embeds developers in your team’s workflow and meetings, works in your repository, ships features on your existing codebase and stack, reviews code to your standards and documents the work so handover is possible.
Do you handle GDPR and health data?
- Yes. Access is role-based so each user sees only the data they are authorised to see, data is encrypted, and systems are built for GDPR requirements covering personal and health data.
